A CHAMA VERDE Não vai brilhar Não vai brilhar A chama que não existe Não se vê Não se vê Sim vai brilhar Sim vai brilhar Isso é a promessa É a chama verde Somos juntos em nosso amor Quando termina o dia Quando o sol vai caindo Vai caindo Depois sumiu Mas vai durar Mas vai durar Dura em nossa memória Do amor eterno A chama verde vai A chama verde vai A chama verde vai THE GREEN FLASH It's not going to shine Not going to shine The flash that doesn't exist You never see it You don't see it Yes it will shine Yes it will shine It's the promise It's the green flash We're together in our love When the day is ending When the sun goes falling Goes falling Then it disappears But it will last But it will last Last in our memory Of eternal love The green flash is gone The green flash is gone The green flash is gone The green flash is gone Music by John Finbury Lyrics by John Finbury, Ned Claflin & Patty Brayden (c) 2014 Green Flash Publishing, LLC (BMI)

VEM ME CONTAR Quando um homem faz uma promessa E mulher faz uma promessa A gente faz uma vida complicada Meu bem Por favor Sim vem contar Quando fazemos promessas Vamos ter certas surpresas No momento de incerteza E de medo Meu bem Por favor Sim vem me contar Se foi o senso de direito de um amor eterno, eterno Sim vem me contar meu bem Estou aqui Se foi a intimidade que era A fundação do nosso amor eterno Vem me contar Meu bem Estou aqui Quando nada é transparente E o silêncio domina tudo Quando estou pra te perder Não se esqueça Meu bem Por favor Sim vem me contar COME TALK TO ME When a man makes a vow And a woman makes a vow When we make a complicated life My love Please Yes come talk to me When we make promises There are bound to be certain surprises In the moment of uncertainty And of fear My love Please Yes come talk to me If the right to have an eternal love ever goes Come talk to me my love I'm here If the intimacy that was The foundation of our eternal love ever goes Come talk to me My love I'm here When nothing is clear And silence is dominating When I'm about to lose you Don't forget My love Please Yes come talk to me Music By John Finbury Lyrics by Ned Claflin © 2015 Green Flash Publishing, LLC [BMI]

The Archer What the archer did to us Wasn’t fair either to you Or to me But my darling What a target you were! What he archer showed us Wasn't fair either to you Or to me But my darling What a target you were! With the weather like that And beauty like that And a glance So clear and so wise So gorgeous Heavy-lidded You're a prize like no one else What the archer won from us Wasn't fair either to you Or to me But my darling What a target you were! I DON’T KNOW YOU NOW I don’t know you now I don’t know who I’m talking to Don’t know who you are I don’t know how to be with you Where’s loving? Where’s kissing? Where are you? Where’s our love? Please come home darling Please come back home to me Don’t know who you are I only know Who you were Music by John Finbury Lyrics by John Finbury, Ned Claflin & Patty Brayden © 2015 Green Flash Publishing, LLC [BMI]

NOT TO WORRY When your feeling down And when your starting to wonder If all your friends left town And if/when you start going under Just remember the words Your Mama said to you just before bed Just remember the words Mama said She told you not to worry She told you not to cry She told you not to worry She told you not to cry Music By John Lyrics by John Finbury, Ned Claflin & Patty Brayden © 2014 GREEN FLASH PUBLISHING, LLC [BMI]

NEVER AGAIN If the night shines for us If the moon hears your voice If the breezes sing for us A choir of serene voices Our love Will never be Imaginary again If we see how worthy is the moonlght How beautiful is that signal The dawn can never arrive It is the Nightingale, not the Lark Our love will never be Imaginary again Look at how many people Pretend not to feel And pretend not to hear The cricket's beat But there is terra firma, Pure air and holy love And the holy wave that Washes away the pain Romance is visionary Everything else is secondary What a miracle your voice is And the sand in the sheets Our love is Imaginary No Longer Music By John Finbury Lyrics by Ned Claflin & John Finbury © 2015 Green Flash Publishing, LLC [BMI]

about

John Finbury needed just the right voice to sing his Brazilian-style songs in native Portuguese, as crafted by lyricist Ned Claflin. Luckily, he found Marcella Camargo. No one anticipated how good these songs were going to sound. "You write them," John says, "and you hope they come alive.” The results, recorded and co-produced by Bob Patton, are amazingly alive, thanks in large measure to the players: Tim Ray (Piano), Mark Walker (Drums), Fernando Huergo (Electric Bass), Ricardo Monzon (Percussion and Drums), Claudio Ragazzi (Guitars) and Roberto Cassan (Accordian). And then of course there is the voice of Marcella Camargo who sings these songs of love lost and found with a beauty and sensuality that will bring you back, time and again.
Sometimes you get lucky and capture just the right combination of song, talent, and heart. Is it too early to say “classic”? No. “Imaginario” is real. Enjoy! - Ned Claflin

Five Songs from this album were submitted to the judges for the 2015 American Songwriting Awards; all five song were nominated for awards and SambaDan won for "Best Instrumental."
